BEAST
BOOSTING EUROPEAN ADVANCED MISSILE SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES
SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The project aims to develop a modular Future Short-Range Missile (FSRM) for versatile multi-role use in air-to-air, ground-based air defence, and air-to-ground operations.
BEAST (Boosting European Advanced Missile System Technology) aims to develop a modular future short-range missile (FSRM) for flexible multirole use in air-to-air, ground-based air defence, and air-to-ground. BEAST will thoroughly analyse and understand the requirements of future aerial operations while assessing available advanced technological options for FSRM including their expected capabilities. BEAST project main objective is to develop modular missile concepts including feasibility demonstration and de-risking of innovative key technologies and to derive a FSRM development roadmap. BEAST will set the strategic, operational, technological, and economic conditions for the joint development and procurement of a European modular FSRM able to opt-in future industrial partners and end-users from Europe.
